As evidenced by the top 6 finishes in both the girls and boys singles in 2019, the category was wide open – any number of players had a chance to win. The level of competition was fantastic all year and, to the casual observer, some matches could easily be mistaken for pro-level encounters. The U18s are very important for our young players; many are giving serious consideration to obtaining a US college scholarship or maybe even giving the pro tour a shot. If the quality of matches in 2019 is any indication, Ontario is well positioned to produce the next Canadian superstar!
