2019 U12 Provincials

Ever since tennis coaches began using modified tennis balls, racquets, nets and courts to start junior players off in the sport, there has been a dramatic acceleration in the level of play at younger and younger age groups. Kids now learn proper strokes, strategy and consistency from the age of 4 or 5; it’s no wonder that by the time they reach the U12’s at the provincial level they are already such accomplished players! Take the Girl’s U12 Outdoor Provincial Singles Nadia Lagaev for example. Nadia was the U10 Champions event winner in 2018, just one year earlier! In fact, U10 Champions past winners have often used the tournament a springboard to achieve later success. These young players are ones to watch out for in the next few years!
