2018 saw the Ontario Tennis Association turn 100. That in itself is quite impressive considering that the first known courts anywhere in the province didn’t turn up until the 1870’s. Something else that is impressive is the growth that has occurred in the sport in the last century. The OTA is proud of its contributions, but we know that, it has been the combined efforts of many important builders, players, institutions, clubs and volunteers to foster the sports growth in popularity over the years. Tennis has been called the “Sport of a Lifetime”; in this case it is the “Sport of Many Lifetimes”! So… what did we get up to in ’18 to celebrate our 100th?
